Why Join the RAJSA?

For Newly Appointed Justices of the Peace

If you’ve recently been appointed as a Justice of the Peace, it’s normal to feel that there is a lot to learn. RAJSA is here to help you feel supported, informed, and connected as you begin your role.

Joining RAJSA gives newly appointed JPs access to:

  • training and refresher opportunities
  • practical resources to help build confidence
  • publications that explain changes and common issues
  • local Groups where you can meet and learn from experienced JPs
  • a professional community that understands the responsibilities of the role

You do not need to know everything at the beginning. Many new JPs join RAJSA because they want a trusted source of guidance and a place to ask questions as they gain experience.
